Boric Acid for Mold Remediation

Using Boric Acid Formula for Killing & Prevention of Mold.

For each part of hydrogen peroxide (35% strength), add 3 parts of water and 8 cups of boric acid. Shake the formula frequently.Each mixed gallon of formula will cover an area of approximately 150square feet.

Side note;

If you can't access 35% hydrogen peroxide, you can substitute with 8% or stronger hydrogen peroxide available at beautician supply stores.

Application;

Wearing Proper Protective Gear is of utmost importance when you are removing mold growth. Wear a respirator mask, goggles and rubber gloves to protect yourself while spraying the boric acid formula. One of the better ways to apply the solution is to use a hand pump garden sprayer. You can substitute with a paint brush or paint roller. Once you've applied the formula, let it work on the mold for at least 20-30 minutes and scrub the sprayed area with a power or manual brush scrubber to physically remove the mold growth.

Once the mold growth is completely removed, apply more boric acid formula. Once the formula dry, it will provide a coating of boric crystals to the surface as a anti-mold protection coat.

Black Mold

Black mold can offer severe effects on your own wellness and so it must be removed. You may perhaps decide to eliminate black mold on your own or seek expert help to it for you. In either case, a mold inspection is always a good idea.

If you choose the do it yourself approach, extreme precautions must be taken. Using protective clothing such as a face mask is recommended. Black mold removal need to be managed carefully in order not to create any further negative effects to overall health and the surroundings.
